Kimchi Fried Rice

Bold, funky, and satisfying — the best use of day-old rice. Fermented kimchi adds a sour-spicy punch that makes every bite addictive.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups day-old cooked rice
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 2 tbsp kimchi juice
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. 1Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Fry kimchi and garlic 2 min.
  2. 2Add gochujang and kimchi juice, stir-fry 1 min.
  3. 3Add rice, breaking up clumps. Toss over high heat 3–4 min.
  4. 4Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil. Make space, fry eggs sunny-side up.
  5. 5Plate rice topped with fried egg. Garnish with green onions.
